Breastfeed they say, it gets easier they say…blah, blah, blah
Yes, you can get lost in the snuggles for days ( more like until one of your kid screams MOMMY jolting you from the feeling of running through a field of tulips), the bond is amazing BUT it doesn’t get easier.
We all know the benefits of breastfeeding but no one wants to hear it when you’re in the trenches. You just want it to work. You’re constantly hungry. You’re stressed because baby’s survival is dependent on you.
Why didn’t anyone tell me that you can gain weight while breastfeeding?
Just like with parenting, you finally master something only to realize your child has moved on.
The same with breastfeeding just when you start feeling good about your supply baby has a growth spurt or gets bored and you’re left trying to figure out a balance.
Breastfeeding is hard enough . When celebrity takes priority over a nursing mom LITERALLY dripping milk like a faucet and all you’re being offered is a dirty bathroom to pump. Something is wrong.
Society is failing those moms who chooses to breastfeed.
We see the sexualization of woman’s breast through music qnd against the natural function and we vringe with disgust or feel entitled to expresses our opinions.
I don’t have it all figured but I’m giving it my best.

I’ve read this article and according to it I’m succeeding (yay me) so I’m going to focus on that whether its scientifically proven or not. I’m slowing changing my perception of this breastfeeding journey.
