HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY!!

The year has certainly flown by; and, it won’t choose now for a breather, so let’s celebrate with Tutu’s and Bowties! Who doesn’t?

The theme proved much harder, especially the color SEAFOAM (have you ever heard of it?) and, if that wasn’t enough, whose brilliant idea was it to travel the weeks leading up to a party, not for one, but TWO BABIES? I would be that genius or crazy mama depending on how you think. 😀 We went from MD to NJ to NY to NJ to FL to NJ then back to MD in two weeks. Yes you read that right, in TWO WEEKS! Whew, did I mention that hubby wasn’t even with us? 😯 Like I said, genius or crazy mama?

It was a stressful time for the babes and me, but I was determined to make their day one to remember. Just about everything was a DIY-er, another not so smart idea. I actually crossed a few things off the list because there just wasn’t enough time. Isn’t it funny how time seems constant when our to-do list is empty, yet passes at the speed of light when we have things to do. I swear everytime I looked at the clock it was 6 p.m. 👀

My favorite DIY-er were the rosettes. I think it provided a great backdrop for the table as well as for photo-props. It’s a simple project, but requires quite a bit of time. I definitely will be making them again for my daughter’s 3rd birthday Princess Party!

Despite all my planning everything came down to the wire and the party started hours later, but if you’ve been to any of my parties you know the start time is just a suggestion (he-he) but from the smiles I would say it was worth the wait; even the HUGE POT OF EXTRA SPICY cabbage that barely had leftovers.
